Frequently Asked Questions

  • Visit our tickets page for all ticketing information. Book early to save money and avoid disappointment.  You will be sent E-tickets to bring with you on arrival once you have successfully placed your order.  Sadly, tickets are non-refundable.  If you haven’t received your E-tickets after placing your order, please check your Spam/Junk folder.  If this still hasn’t been received, please email tickets@wearewirral.co.uk.

  • On first entry your E-Ticket will be scanned and you will receive a wristband. You must keep this wristband on to leave and re-enter. Any signs of removal or being tampered with will require the purchase of a new ticket.

  • Birkenhead Park is one of the most popular places to visit on the Wirral, and getting here is simple. It has excellent public transport links and is easy to walk to.
    Our festival entrance is on Ashville Road less than 5 minutes walk from Birkenhead Park train station.

    Train
    By far the easiest way to get to Birkenhead Park is by Train.
    The closest station is Birkenhead Park however Birkenhead North and Birkenhead Central are approx. 15 minutes walking distance.

    Bus

    Car
    We strongly advise using a method above, however we do have a limited amount of car parking available for £10 per vehicle which must be booked in advance.

  • We Are Wirral is a day visitor only event, however there are many B&Bs, hotels and camp sites near by.

  • Yes but dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, they are not allowed in marquees/tents after 7pm and must be kept at least 50m away from any outdoor stages.

  • Yes, we are fully accessible and wheelchair friendly.
    Our main stage has an accessible viewing platform and there are pavements to get around. A lot of the festival is on grass and so if you have the option we do advise tyres suitable for this, particularly in bad weather.

  • All of the live music, and entertainment is included in the price. Many group activities are also included with the exception of some which have very limited numbers. You will be able to book these in advance for a reasonable fee. Activity bookings will be available in the spring and all ticket holders will be emailed in advance. The fun fair rides are an additional fee.

  • We will be working with the best local street food vendors and brewers as well as the best from further afield to offer a wide selection of food and drink options. Please note that We are Wirral is cashless.

Rules of Entry

  • Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, teens (13-17) must be accompanied by an adult aged 30 or over.

    Proof of identity will be requested.

  • Alcohol is not permitted to be brought on site.  Our onsite bars will offer a wide selection of reasonably priced drinks and will be operating and enforcing a strict Challenge 25 policy.

  • Food - You are more than welcome to bring a small amount of cold foods but it would be a shame to miss out on our varied selection of street food we will have on offer.

  • Nothing larger than a small backpack or handbag is allowed for carrying your personal items.

  • No motorised leisure scooters / bikes / skateboards.  Electric mobility scooters are permitted.

Restricted Items

The following are not permitted, bag checks will be conducted at entrance and we reserve the right to confiscate prohibited items or deny entry.
Glass items, candles, gas canisters, flares, knives, illegal substances, drugs, ‘legal highs’, laser equipment/pens, megaphones, nitrous oxide, fireworks, smoke canisters, poles, drones and any items which in the absolute discretion of the security team are considered to be a risk to the safety of others and/or affect the enjoyment of the audience and/or the running of the Festival are prohibited.
